2008:Matt has spent the season as the back-up QB getting a start in the home opener and earning the Geisinger MVP of the game in the Pioneers defeat of Mahoning Valley. Schabert posesses a great set of arena QB skills with his quick release and soft touch. With some experiance this could be the begining of a top flight arena QB.
Career: This is Matt’s first season with the Pioneers as well as playing in arenafootball2. He was traded to the Pioneers before training camp from the Boise Burn.
College: Matt spent two years at Wisconsin getting some playing time behind Jim Sorgi, he transferred for his senior year to Eastern Illinois.
