2008: Ryan Vena returns to the Pioneers three games into the 2008 season with the goal to finish the job and win an ArenaCup championship. The veteran signal caller has been called the best player in the af2, his addition raises the Pioneers offense to one of the tops in the league.
2007: Vena had 92 passing touchdowns and only nine interceptions on the season while throwing for 4,241 yards and a passer rating of 124.21. His completion percentage of 66.9 led the league. In addition, Vena has scored 16 rushing touchdowns while gaining 159 yards. He was named the 2007 Schutt Offensive Player of the Year.

Vena was named First-Team All-af2, setting the af2 single season passing record with 4,460 yards in sixteen games. He was the league leader in yards, total offense (4,634) and completions (345), and ranked second in completion percentage (67.3), touchdown passes (85) and attempts (513).
